Top 3 Books On My Summer Reading List! (2016)

By  |

Summertime is a great time for me to sit back in my favorite chair and get more reading time in, or if you’re traveling, have a great book or two for the road.

I love to read, but lately I haven’t been indulging in that hobby. So I’ve decided to make time this summer and enjoy a few books.

With this in mind, today I’m sharing some of my own summer reading list. I’ve had a few books on my to-read list for a couple months, so I’m hoping to finally get a chance to see what they’re all about.

Check out my top 3, along with the description from their websites!

The only self-help book you’ll ever need, from a psychiatrist and his comedy writer daughter, who will help you put aside your unrealistic wishes, stop trying to change things you can’t change, and do the best with what you can control—the first steps to managing all of life’s impossible problems.

Here is the cut-to-the-chase therapy session you’ve been looking for!

Step by step, you will make the discovery of a lifetime: how to stop being created by your past and start consciously creating your present and future. You will learn that any time you are willing to be surprised — by your next creative impulse, the next idea that excites you, the next experience that moves you — you are living a creative life.

Falling in love is easy. Staying in love—that’s the challenge! How can you keep your relationship fresh and growing amid the demands, conflicts, and just plain boredom of everyday life?

In the #1 New York Times bestseller The 5 Love Languages, you’ll discover the secret that has transformed millions of relationships worldwide. Whether your relationship is flourishing or failing, Dr. Gary Chapman’s proven approach to showing and receiving love will help you experience deeper and richer levels of intimacy with your partner—starting today.

I’m not promising myself that I will get around to reading all of the books on my list. But I’m definitely going knock these out first!

What are you reading now or planning to read this summer? I would love some suggestions. Comment below and let me know.
